Due to long-term closures, hotels, bars, pubs and restaurants have had far less fire safety risks to think about. Unfortunately, due to the additional pressures of Covid-19 safety measures, in some instances fire safety in these venues has been put on the back burner!
On 29 April 2021, the Fire Safety Bill finally received Royal Assent and became an Act of Parliament which means it is now an important legislation in terms of fire safety -the Fire Safety Act 2021.
It's important for business owners to make sure that they have the correct fire safety equipment and signage in place and that extinguishers have been properly serviced to ensure they have not been damaged and are working properly.
