Due to long-term closures, hotels, bars, pubs and restaurants have had far less fire safety risks to think about. Unfortunately, due to the additional pressures of Covid-19 safety measures, in some instances fire safety in these venues has been put on the back burner!
On 29 April 2021, the Fire Safety Bill finally received Royal Assent and became an Act of Parliament which means it is now an important legislation in terms of fire safety -the Fire Safety Act 2021.
As restrictions are lifted and more and more people are being vaccinated, now is a good time to make sure that all fire safety equipment as well as fire safety signage is as it should be in your care home.
